This poster presentation will show how students can design and author their own eBook using Book Creator in any subject at any grade level. Teachers of ELA and Math used Book Creator to have their students become authors of published works. In ELA, the students wrote their own stories and used Book Creator to bring their stories to life. In Math, the students created a visual textbook that they could use to teach others the math concepts learned in class. Book Creator allows the students to design, illustrate, dictate, and add videos to their story all while creating a layout best fit for their work. Giving the students choice empowers learners and allows them to share their creations with the world which helps build their confidence in writing and technology skills. Using student created eBooks helps to foster student engagement and reading at an early age. Student eBooks created in elementary and middle school classes will be displayed.
